Ty Fahlman is a firm believer in the importance of giving back and helping the disadvantaged, particularly children. Over the years, he has gotten more and more involved in philanthropy, leading humanitarian efforts and planning fundraising initiatives and events that have collectively raised millions for causes dear to him.
Through his work with the Educational Assistance Resources Network (EARN), Ty fought to help provide those from lower income backgrounds with the chance to finish their high school education and move towards the path to a better life. The organization provides disadvantaged people with online classes, computers, tutoring, childcare, and other critical resources. In 2017, Ty helped spearhead two of their primary initiatives,Teach a Mom to Fish and Aging Out Successfully, which targeted single mothers and foster children, respectively.
In 2018 Ty was asked to join the board of Valley Guardians, a unique charity that benefits a number of children’s causes in Ty’s native Phoenix area. “What separates Valley Guardians from other charitable organizations is our zero operating budget,” Ty says. What that means essentially that every dime the organization raises goes directly to children, with no one taking a salary or deducting operating costs from money raised.
In 2019, Ty helped plan and execute Valley Guardians premier annual fundraising event, which was held at the Jetset Hangar in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ty called upon his network to step up and donate tens of thousands in goods and services, and the event was a huge success, raising hundreds of thousands for noble local children’s causes.
