Ty Fahlman is an author, entrepreneur, filmmaker, producer, influencer, marketing expert, and philanthropist who for years has helped publications, brands, and high-profile individuals tell their story to a wider audience with greater efficiency.
As a writer, Ty has personally had over 150 articles published and has ghostwritten for the likes of New York Times bestselling authors and celebrities. In addition, he has given thoughtful and introspective profiles and interviews of dozens of A-List stars including Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
In 2018, he was nominated for the title of "Most Influential Man in the Valley" by Arizona Foothills Magazine, and finished in second place, beating out such renowned local luminaries as GoDaddy founder Bob Parsons, Harkins Theaters founder Dan Harkins, and Arizona Cardinals owner Bill Bidwill.
For several years he served as the Managing Editor of Jetset Magazine, the premier in-flight magazine on private jets. There he helped manage creative aspects of the publication, including cover stories, editor acquisitions, and photo shoots, and personally edited and oversaw all written aspects of the magazine.
In addition to profiling celebrities like Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Dwayne Johnson, Matt Damon, and Charlize Theron for the cover of Jetset, Ty also made a name for himself covering a wide variety of topics including resorts, restaurants, destinations, events, art, and other lifestyle features with consistent depth, knowledge, and probing objectivity. Today he contributes to multiple luxury travel publications including LuxeGetawaysand Modern Luxury.
A filmmaker at heart, as the founder of Throwback Pictures, Ty has written, directed, and produced dozens of creative and acclaimed music videos, short films, and PSAs. He has helped use Throwback as a powerful tool for brands and artists that want to express themselves in original visual ways. He is also the Executive Producer of two separate reality shows currently in development.
As an entrepreneur, Ty founded KBR Investment Group, and in 2019 he began doing business development for Pragma Scientific, one of the largest extractors and producers of CBD in the world. Having seen firsthand how CBD products helped his grandfather manage pain as he was battling cancer, Ty is a firm believer in the healing and restorative properties of the increasingly popular compound, and is working with Pragma to help enrich as many lives as possible across the globe.
Ty also serves as an independent marketing/PR consultant for several companies, helping them advance their brands through media. In 2018 he helped found Advomatix, a unique technology company and digital marketing firm that used proprietary software and machine learning to micotarget potential customers via Instagram for over a dozen different businesses.
Discovering that he had an overwhelming passion for helping brands and individuals tell their story with a wider efficiency, in 2020 Ty teamed up with Cynthia Sassi to found Say Less Media, a full-service marketing agency devoted to a more personal touch. The goal was simple, to provide their clients with a greater level of care than many of the large, hands-off media agencies Ty had experienced firsthand. Today SLM boasts a diverse client list ranging from doctor's offices to gyms to restaurants, but Ty and Cynthia make sure to provide each client with the utmost care, thoughtfulness, and devotion.
Ty is also a passionate philanthropist with his foremost cause being educating the disadvantaged. In addition to hands-on volunteer work, Ty has and served on the board of two separate Valley nonprofits and carefully planned and co-branded several prominent fundraising efforts including celebrity sponsored events that have collectively raised millions for charity.
He currently lives in Scottsdale, Arizona but travels as much as he can.
